Refulgent Software develops an easy to use point of sale app, named Ambur, for the food service industry on Apple's iOS platform (iPad/iPod/iPhone).  Ambur is a fully functional mobile point of sale system that makes it easy for business owners to run their business.  Servers can send orders to the kitchen, accept credit cards and print checks wirelessly.  Business owners can print reports, manage inventory and control employee permissions from any iOS device.  Since launch in April 2011, Ambur has been the point of sale choice for nearly 700 businesses in the full service and quick service restaurants, bars, cafés and food trucks verticals in 29 countries.  The app has been updated eleven times with each update including a number of major features. 

Unlike competitors, Ambur puts the business owner in charge.  Offering advanced functionality while keeping the app easy enough to be maintained by the business owner makes Ambur unique. 

Refulgent Software is a bootstrapped company and became cash flow positive within three months of launching Ambur. The company is headquartered at Baird Research Park and currently employs ten people.  The company is seeking $1M which will be used to accelerate development of future updates, grow the partner channel and hire an enterprise sales team.
